Description

A masterpiece of Islay whisky craftsmanship. Ardbeg Uigeadail marries the distillery's signature deep, smoky character with the rich, raisiny sweetness of aged ex-Sherry casks. Named after Loch Uigeadail—Ardbeg's remote water source nestled 600 feet above the distillery—this special vatting delivers complexity that whisky enthusiasts revere. Pronounced "Oog-a-dal" and Gaelic for "dark and mysterious place," Uigeadail captures the essence of Islay's untamed spirit in every dram.

Taste description

Full-flavored and rich with a deep mouth-coating texture, the taste is an intriguing balance between sweet, spicy and deep smoky flavors. The flavor is initially sweet as Christmas cake begins to soak into the tongue. A burst of winter spices sets off a smoky-spicy explosion countered by a sumptuous mid-palate of honey glazed smoked food and a dark sweetness.
